You are using an older version of gcc(11.4) than the default version (12.3) for
Ubuntu 22.04, which causes the unrecognized option error. This is not a bug in
Ubuntu or the Nvidia package.
I recommend removing gcc-11 if you do not need it, or making gcc-12 the default.
