Tested on plucky-proposed ----------------------------------------- I can confirm that with snapd=2.68.5+ubuntu25.04.2 on a fresh 25.04 install the issue no longer exists and the test steps from above are successful.
With reexec disabled, I first tested with snapd=2.67.1+25.0. I installed thunderbird and didn't see any snapd feedback. I then installed 2.68.5 root@plucky:~# apt install snapd=2.68.5+ubuntu25.04.2 root@plucky:~# snap version snap 2.68.5+ubuntu25.04.2 snapd 2.68.5+ubuntu25.04.2 series 16 ubuntu 25.04 kernel 6.14.0-24-generic I installed thunderbird and saw snapd tasks reported.
