Public bug reported: This came up because our LTO build flags let the build fail.
Upstream has requested in https://github.com/ipxe/ipxe/pull/1521 and https://github.com/ipxe/ipxe/issues/1515 that Debian/Ubuntu should not modify compiler flags since this can introduce bugs for the built ROMs. We should remove our patches to adjust CFLAGS and just go with the package's defaults. Since this is for building ROMs even generating/splitting out debugging symbols is probably not worth keeping the flags. ** Affects: ipxe (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2121439 Title: Disable custom CFLAGS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ipxe/+bug/2121439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
