Hi, same problem on asus v1s, Linux ubuntu 2.6.24-3-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 3 23:30:29 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux suggested fix: adding options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1 model=asus-dig in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base doesn't fix the issue (tried also model=lenovo and z71v suggested elsewhere, but still no luck)
