Just for the record, with the openstack CLI client with Yoga's version,
10GB image uploading finishes with 3.5 minutes with multipart, which is
a fair number.
$ time openstack image create \
--file my-image.img \
--disk-format raw --container-format bare \
--progress \
"my-image"
real 3m33.440s
user 0m15.595s
sys 0m10.217s
