Public bug reported:
With GNOME Shell 46.0-0ubuntu6~24.04.9
How to reproduce the bug. The easy way:
1. Start Nautilus and keep a window opened
2. In the dash, there will be a dot to show the app is running
3. Then edit `/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop`. For example
change the "Comment" entry.
4. Wait a second or so. The dot next to the icon on the dash will disappear.
Snapd way:
1. Start with Snapd revision 2.71 (25202 on x86-64): snap refresh snapd
--revision=25202
2. Open multiple different apps as snaps. If possible not pinned the dash.
3. Observe that they show up in the the dash.
4. Update to Snapd revision 2.72 beta (25577 on x86-64): snap refresh snapd
--revision=25577
(this will update all the .desktop files for the snaps)
5. Wait a second or so. The unpinned icons of running snaps will disappear.
There are also reports of issues in 22.04. But I was not able to
reproduce it.
