I also have this same problem with a Dell Latitude 5420 laptop, on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (noble).
What does "The patch got NACKed" mean exactly here? It seems crazy to me that this eeprom_bad_csum_allow patch was arbitrarily dropped. Including that functionality is obviously the right thing to do. To attempt to fix or even INVESTIGATE problems with an eeprom "NVM Checksum" error, you MUST first have a working ethernet driver willing to talk to the hardware. Let users use their hardware, please! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2102113 Title: intel i219-LM on Dell 5420 with bad NVM checksum doesn't work with e1000e driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2102113/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
