banged my head on this for a while. autopkgtest in Debian has also been
failing since gcc-15, they passed it through with migration-reference/0
while not addressing the underlying gcc-15 issue. The linked branch
fixed arm64, but not ppcel64. I can confirm that the tests are building
with gcc-14, but I can't figure out _why_ it's still failing on ppcel64.
I'll keep digging, but i'm very out of my depth
