I forgot to say that the apparmor file you pointed have the English
directory names but inside the directory /etc/apparmor.d/tunables/xdg-
user-dirs.d/ there is a file called site.local that has the variables
empty:
# ------------------------------------------------------------------
#
# Copyright (C) 2014 Canonical Ltd.
# This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or
# modify it under the terms of version 2 of the GNU General Public
# License published by the Free Software Foundation.
#
# ------------------------------------------------------------------
# The following may be used to add additional entries such as for
# translations. See tunables/xdg-user-dirs for details. Eg:
#@{XDG_MUSIC_DIR}+="Musique"
#@{XDG_DESKTOP_DIR}+=""
#@{XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR}+=""
#@{XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR}+=""
#@{XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR}+=""
#@{XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR}+=""
#@{XDG_MUSIC_DIR}+=""
#@{XDG_PICTURES_DIR}+=""
#@{XDG_VIDEOS_DIR}+=""
It worked in 25.04. I'm looking in a backup to see the content of that
file.
