I added the requested files.

Some more context:

I already suspected the fact that 240Hz could be a possible problem. So I
already tried setting both screens to (laptop and external) to 60Hz. Even in
that scenario the issue remains. The drm info files attached are with 60Hz. I
am confident that my cable supports at least 4K60Hz.
If needed, I can also provide the files when in 240Hz.

I read the article, which was very interesting, and does give some more
insights. At the end, they also state that it might have worked on
earlier versions, but no longer in newer, since the checks could be
stricter. So that could explain why it worked in 24.04, but no longer
works in 25.04 and 25.10.

I also ordered 3 new cables: Mini DP, Thunderbolt to HDMI and
Thunderbolt to DP. According to the specs, they should all support
4K240Hz. They will arrive in a few days. I will, update here with my
findings.

Some additional questions: you mentioned nvidia 580 is not supported (fair
point). I use the ubuntu graphics ppa and installed the driver through there.
It would only be fair that I test the behaviour with the supported drivers.
- Which version should I use?
- Can it be a version from the ubuntu graphics ppa?
- If not, how can I best revert to the officially supported version?
