@cyberbillp: New users will probably install a current version of a distro, not an old one. So they will get a 6.x (or maybe a 5.19.x) kernel installed, not a 5.15.0 one. So new users are unlikely to experience this problem. It's only us stragglers, who haven't upgraded to the latest version of our distro, and use the integrated AMD graphics, who are affected.
