Yes, you are correct!! I was confused on which to copy and rename for the work-around.
I was doing ``` sudo cp /run/mnt/ubuntu-seed/overlays/vc4-kms-v3d-pi5.dtbo /run/mnt/ubuntu-seed/overlays/vc4-pi5.dtbo ``` when I should have been doing ``` sudo cp /boot/piboot/pi-kernel_1047.snap/overlays/vc4-kms-v3d-pi5.dtbo /boot/piboot/pi-kernel_1047.snap/overlays/vc4-pi5.dtbo ``` With that change, I confirm that the correct overlay is loaded verified with vclog. Ubuntu-Frame now loads without issue and I am seeing the the correct URL being rendered on my display! So it was the path length being too long.
