Hi, Honestly, I have no idea. I removed Ubuntu entirely after the first problems. I then reinstalled it with the 22.04 LTS (and therefore the kernel associated, 6.8) and I just did the upgrade to the 24.04.3 without "touching" anything myself. I am not really familiar with the kernel so I thought it would be better to not try anything and possibly make a mistake.
But I'm surprise that the Kernel I have currently is said to be supported until 2029, but the one for the 24.04.3 HWE (6.14) will have the maintenance only until Jan 2026 according to the lifecycle website ? So now I'm confused : Am I supposed to upgrade it manually as it did not happen automatically ? And will the new version be supported after 2026 ? Should I install the firmware after manually updating the kernel then ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2130467 Title: Suspend / hybernate randomly shuts off peripherals - forced reboot necessary - HWE 24.04.3 - AMD To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2130467/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
