Im tagging this as xwayland as its the new display manager
I recently updated to 25.10 and with that has come a new display issue
Since the update and the transition away from xorg I have the issue of the
screen backlight or brightness turns off or lowers on its own. The device is a
Dell XPS 14. This issue happens at random and I cant figure out a reason or
something consistent for this. It just happens and the only way to fix it is a
complete restart. Even the brightness controls on the keyboard do nothing as I
change them either brighter or darker and the screen stays the same level of
dark.
What Im expecting to happen: Screen Brightness or backlight stays at what I set
it at
What is happening: It goes dark at random and I cant change it
** Affects: xwayland (Ubuntu)
