** Description changed:

+ [ Impact ]
+
+ * In Kubuntu users expect the convenience of being able to launch the driver
manager from systemsettings menus. Not being able to do so breaks expected
behaviour.
+
+ * This fixes the launch by using pkexec directly, which is more reliable and
better maintained/supported upstream.
+
+ [ Test Plan ]
+
+ * Open systemsettings and click the driver manager sidebar menu entry.
+ * Previously the driver manager would not launch, eventually showing an
error dialogue.
+ * With the fixed package a policykit auth dialogue should show up, then
launching the driver manager on successful authorisation by the user.
+ * If possible (not essential) on a users setup, make sure that the d-m
working behaviour functions as before.
+
+ [ Where problems could occur ]
+
+ * We are just switching the invocation method and commands in some text
+ files, in an arch all package for this specific purpose, so potential to
+ affect anything else is minimal.
+
+
+ ******************
+
Clicking on the "Driver Manager" menu item within Plasma settings, does
  not launch the kubuntu-driver-manager.

The only workaround to launch is by executing:
  sudo kubuntu-driver-manager

Important note. While you can see I have backport ppa enabled for
kubuntu, this bug happened right after a fresh installation before
backports were enabled. This is a known bug, many people on reddit
  experience the same bug lately.
