Bug 1996148 has a summary of a previous regression. From my experience there, considering the original bug and the fixes upstream made around it, I learned that upstream commits cannot be relied upon to not regress behaviour, and also that I'm not happy with the quality of upstream code in pipewire in general in terms of its suitability to make changes in stable Ubuntu releases. We're also not clear why this hardware enablement requires such extensive code changes. > ...and upstream doesn't have plan to backport it for 1.0 branch Then you need to do it if you want this hardware enablement to land. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2122556 Title: 3.5mm microphone recognized but can’t be used as audio input To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/2122556/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
