I'm not sure I understand the screenshot in the comment above pertains to the original bug report, but I can comment on the original screenshot. What you're seeing in that shot is frozen-bubble in very low graphics mode. This is a setting that is toggle-able on the main frozen-bubble screen. You should be able to toggle that back to high graphics mode and get the pointer arrow back.
