I did the following steps:
* Added the command `systemd.debug-shell=1` into my grub file in param 
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT
* Run the command `sudo systemctl enable debug-shell.service`
* Rebooted the laptop.
* Could not get the control to terminal, neither with keys Ctrl-Alt-F9 nor 
Ctrl-Alt-<left arrow>.

As a further test, a stopped my WIFI and connected the laptop to an
Ethernet cable. => No change at all.
