I checked the autopkgtest for bacula first, and it seems to cover a lot
of what I’d like to test, including performing a backup and restoring it
to confirm the restoration was successful. So I ran an autopkgtest for
the proposed bacula package, and it passed all tests without any
problems as expected.

After that, I also derived a test configuration from our actual bacula
setup (minus the s3), which includes features not covered by the
autopkgtest, such as RunScript, Schedule, status, etc. I posted the test
configuration here and did not find any issues with bacula. So I would
say it should be suitable for our use.
