Looking at /var/log/cups/error.log instead of the pointless journalctl output, on my system it complains about:
"Unknown directive JobPrivateAccess on line 122 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf." The last four lines of my cupsd.conf are: JobPrivateAccess default JobPrivateValues default SubscriptionPrivateAccess default SubscriptionPrivateValues default I commented out all 4 lines, and cups now starts again. Since these 4 statements only appear to intend to invoke "default" behaviour anyway, I figure that intent isn't being lost by removing them. Commenting out or deleting them thus should be a good enough solution, whatever they were meant to do, and why ever CUPS is now failing to start with them there. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2133207 Title: cups version "2.4.1op1-1ubuntu4.15" doesn't work on Jammy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/2133207/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
