Hi, Since there are two fixes available in this thread, and since the new version includes a security fix, I decided to install it (my system Linux Mint 21.3 Mate based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS)
First, I made a Timeshift snapshot. Then, I unheld cups package (in update manager, apt and synaptic). After an update, I installed cups version "2.4.1op1-1ubuntu4.15", and restarted my computer. Surprise, it works without any fix: $ journalctl -xeu cups.service ~ [...] ~ nov. 29 18:01:11 michel-G74Sx systemd[1]: Starting CUPS Scheduler... ░░ Subject: L'unité (unit) cups.service a commencé à démarrer ░░ Defined-By: systemd ░░ Support: http://www.ubuntu.com/support ░░ ░░ L'unité (unit) cups.service a commencé à démarrer. nov. 29 18:01:11 michel-G74Sx systemd[1]: Started CUPS Scheduler. When I look at "/etc/cups/cupsd.conf", it does not include the four lines inducing the failure.
