Public bug reported:

Hardware:
- Laptop: ASUS ExpertBook P3
- Exact model: ASUS ExpertBook P3 PM3406CKA
- CPU platform: AMD Ryzen AI (AMD Family 17h/19h controllers)

Ubuntu version:
- Ubuntu 24.04
- Kernel: 6.14.0-36-generic

Problem summary:
On this ASUS ExpertBook P3 PM3406CKA running Ubuntu 24.04, there is:
- No sound from the internal laptop speakers
- HDMI audio and Bluetooth audio work
- The internal analog audio device is detected and exposed as a PipeWire sink,
but produces no sound at all

This looks like a missing / incomplete Realtek ALC3288/ALC294 quirk for
this specific ASUS ExpertBook model.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Boot Ubuntu 24.04 on the ASUS ExpertBook P3 PM3406CKA
2. Open “Settings → Sound” and select:
   - Output: “Family 17h/19h HD Audio Controller Analog Stereo”
3. Set output volume to 100%
4. Play any audio
5. Observe that no sound is heard from the internal laptop speakers
6. Switch output to Bluetooth headset – sound works immediately
7. Switch output to HDMI audio on an external monitor – sound also works

Expected result:
“Family 17h/19h HD Audio Controller Analog Stereo” should route audio to the
laptop’s internal speakers

Actual result:
- Internal speakers are completely silent
- Bluetooth and HDMI audio are working
- The analog card is present and used by PipeWire, but produces no audible
output from the built-in speakers

Observations and hypothesis:
----------------------------
- Realtek codec is detected as "ALC294 Analog" (card 1, device 0)
- The analog sink exists and is selectable
- HDMI and Bluetooth audio work
- Internal speakers produce no sound at all
- ASUS’ Windows driver package for this machine references “Realtek ALC3288”
with Dirac/Smart Amp support

This looks like the ASUS ExpertBook P3 PM3406CKA (Realtek ALC3288/ALC294
on AMD Family 17h/19h HDA controller) needs a dedicated ALSA / kernel
quirk and/or UCM configuration so that the internal speakers are
correctly wired and enabled on Ubuntu 24.04.
