I believe I'm seeing this on 25.10. I have tried with DDC/CI both on and off with no change. I'm connecting my Dell Vostro 15 7510 to a Dell U3219Q via a new USB-IF certified 40Gbps/240W usb c cable. I'm using wayland with nvidia-driver-580-open.
I have also disabled auto-switching on the monitor which hasn't helped. The monitor has the latest firmware from dell as of now. I did find I can power cycle the monitor to avoid re-plugging the cable. I believe this is the first journalctl message after waking: gnome-shell[3011]: Failed to use stored monitor configuration: Invalid mode 3840x2160 (59.997) for monitor 'DEL DELL U3219Q' when my monitor is waking up. My specific symptom is that my 4k display switches to 30hz instead of 60hz on wake-up, it uses a different layout, but I think it's just remembering the busted state separately. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1978980 Title: [amdgpu] Wrong external screen resolution after wake up from sleep To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1978980/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
