Installed: 49.0.1-1ubuntu2
Candidate: 49.2-1ubuntu3
1. install Ubuntu 26
2. login to GNOME
3. sudo apt update
4. sudo apt list --upgradable
5. dgm3 is shown as updatable package
6. sudo apt upgrade
7. reboot
8. ubuntu loads up to initial splash screen (screen resolution changes to 4k ->
NVidia driver seems to load OK)
9. no login prompt shown
1. fixed by restoring system from timeshift snapshot
2. sudo apt-mark hold *gdm*
3. sudo apt upgrade
4. reboot
5. system boots normally, login works, all fine
