Wired headphones are not detected on my HP laptop. When headphones are
plugged into the audio jack, Ubuntu does not switch output and no
headphone device appears; sound continues playing through the internal
speakers.
If they allow one extra line, add this:
Audio uses Intel Alder Lake sof-hda-dsp with Realtek ALC236 on PipeWire.
That’s it. Clean, factual, zero drama—the kind of report kernel and
audio devs actually read.
