Performing verification for resolute.

I got caught with this this morning, and my laptop just hangs when
moving from plymouth to GDM.

I booted into rescue mode and journalctl has:

Dec 16 09:54:37 ThinkPad-X1 systemd[1]: Started gdm.service - GNOME Display
Manager.
Dec 16 09:54:37 ThinkPad-X1 gdm3[2730]: Gdm: Failed to listen on userdb socket:
Invalid argument
Dec 16 09:54:38 ThinkPad-X1 gdm-launch-environment][2810]:
pam_unix(gdm-launch-environment:account): could not identify user (from
getpwnam(gdm-greeter))

This is with gdm3 49.2-1ubuntu3.

I then enabled -proposed from rescue mode, and ran:

$ apt install -t resolute-proposed gdm3

This installed gdm3 49.2-1ubuntu4, and I rebooted.

My system came up properly, gdm3 started and I could log in again.

Happy to mark verified.
