Public bug reported:

The system experences high cpu usage and freezing when launching chrome
most of the time, and sometimes when doing simple tasks it gets laggy if
it didn't crash when launching chrome and I'm doing some other task
while chrome is opened. Like launching another application, even when
the command ubuntu-bug gnome-shell entered the system froze because
chrome was opened
