After replacing libtotem-properties-page.so, Nautilus started crashing again, so I continued my experiments:
Replaced libtotem-properties-page.so (from Ubuntu 26.04) — this initially reduced crashes, but Nautilus still segfaults reproducibly. Removed / from GNOME Search → Search Locations in gnome-control-center. Repaired some malformed audio metadata using easytag. Disabled more Nautilus extensions: libtotem-properties-page.so libnautilus-image-properties.so No third‑party Nautilus extensions installed Despite the above, Nautilus still crashes randomly. Some important crash signals observed: GLib-GObject-CRITICAL: object_remove_closure_cb: should not be reached free(): invalid size IOT instruction (core dumped) nautilus -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2137125 Title: libtotem-properties-page.so causes nautilus to crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/2137125/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
