I've noticed on my recent 24.04 LTS install (latest OEM kernel, Wayland
session) that menus for apps that go through the "AppIndicator"
extension (Discord, Slack) open with a significant delay compared to the
"native" menu that has the various quick settings (wifi, bluetooth,
volume, shutdown, etc.).
This is *not* the case in 22.04 on an older laptop of mine (running an
Intel 8th-gen series chipset, this current machine runs Lunar Lake).
Also, if I click on the "native" menu *first*, and then move the mouse
over to (for example) Discord, there is no delay in the menu opening.
It only happens when clicking directly on the Discord icon in the
appindicator menu.
This happens with or without fractional scaling (or any scaling)
enabled, and both on a Wayland session or an X11 session.
