  Use R1C1 mode as following:
  Format > Sheet > Use R1C1 (in the menu)
  
  Put a random value in a cell of your choice (say, R1C1)
  
  Choose another cell (say, R1C2)
  
  Make a reference to the cell containing the random value (R1C1)
  
  In this last one (R1C2) it will appear the following error:
  " #NAME? "
  
  NB: this bug works horizontally as vertically
