Public bug reported:
[ Impact ]
Intel E825 on Ubuntu 22.04 with updated HWE kernel 6.8.0-87:
[ 3.253058] ice 0000:13:00.0: An unknown error occurred when loading the DDP
package. Entering Safe Mode.
[ 3.253992] ice 0000:13:00.0: not enough device MSI-X vectors. wanted = 82,
available = 2
This NIC wants intel/ice/ddp/ice-1.3.36.0.pkg which is too old in Jammy
for the HWE kernel.
[ Fix ]
Update intel/ice/ddp/ice-1.3.36.0.pkg.
[ Test Case ]
Verify that no errors are thrown when the driver loads the firmware and
that networking is functional.
[ Where Problems Could Occur ]
Opaque firmware can cause kernel issues (hangs, freezes, stalls, splats,
...) when loaded on affected HW.
