Public bug reported:
This bug was filed against installer, but apport has filed against
ubiquity (hard coded?)
At jumping to terminal, I can ping 8.8.8.8 so internet is connected.
If I ping using DNS (eg. ping my ISP; iinet.net.au) I get name resolution
errors.
So as to get file this bug report, I `sudo vi /etc/resolv.conf` and
added `nameserver 8.8.8.8` to the top of that file, so internet/DNS was
usable.
The applet on the top window of MATE screen still indicates that
networking is 'disabled', and whilst it gives me an option to 'enable
networking' it does nothing.
The installer will be having an issue due to something else I bet
(networking related) sorry.
