Public bug reported:
My systems running linux-fips-5.4.0.1024.3 seem to no longer boot today.
They start to the following grub error:
error: bad shim signature.
error: you need to load the kernel first.
Press any key to continue...
Selecting the alternate non-fips kernel present on the system gets
around the issue. I also tested the fips-updates kernel linux-
fips-5.4.0.1127.124 and it also works fine. Systems currently running
the affected kernel are working fine, but if I reboot them, they go to
the same grub error screen (despite having previously booted the same
kernel).
I have a requirement for secure boot and validated fips modules. System
has ESM subscription and is fully up to date.
