Public bug reported: [Summary]
Random gray screen with responsive cursor at first boot. When the issue occurs, the system doesn't hang, and gnome-initial-setup is successfully launched. * Attaching gdb to gnome-shell didn't observe crash. * Seems like keeping drawing the same thing. org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: Logged new quad: org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: n_layers = 1; rgba=0xFFFFFFFF org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: v0: x = 240.000000, y = 150.000000, tx0 = 0.125000, ty0 = 0.125000 org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: v1: x = 1680.000000, y = 1050.000000, tx0 = 0.875000, ty0 = 0.875000 org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: BATCHING: journal len = 1 org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: BATCHING: viewport batch len = 1 org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: BATCHING: dither batch len = 1 org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: BATCHING: clip stack batch len = 1 org.gnome.Shell.desktop[1224]: BATCHING: vbo offset batch len = 1 * Always double-buffering Jan 21 20:59:13 localhost gnome-shell[1224]: KMS: Swap buffers: 1 frames pending (double-buffering) * For reducing log messages, customized the session.
