SOLVED
Here is the solution
1. Uninstall the keepassxc packages under apt
sudo apt remove keepassxc webext-keepassxc-browser
2. Install keepassxc under snap
sudo snap install keepassxc
3.Install the Browser Extension:
For Firefox, Chrome, or Brave, install the KeePassXC-Browser extension from the
respective web store.
Enable Browser Integration
Open KeePassXC:
Launch the KeePassXC application.
Access Settings:
Go to Tools > Settings.
Enable Browser Integration:
In the settings menu, find the Browser Integration tab.
Check the box to enable integration for your preferred browser (e.g., Firefox,
Chrome, Brave).
Grant Permissions
4. After enabling browser integration, you may need to run the following
command in the terminal to grant necessary permissions:
sudo snap connect keepassxc:browser-native-messaging
5. Testing the Connection
Open your browser and try to connect the KeePassXC-Browser extension to your
KeePassXC database. Ensure that the extension is enabled and configured
correctly.
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully enable and use the
KeePassXC browser extension on Ubuntu 24.04 with the Snap installation.
The database save, load works normal now, the directory tree opens
normally.
