Thanks a lot for your investigation and for sending the patches to us.

As the ath12k driver is an upstream driver, I'd suggest to follow the upstream 
guide you can find here:
[https://wireless.docs.kernel.org/en/latest/en/users/drivers/ath12k.html]
and submit your patches to the upstream kernel so all kernels could take 
advantage of your fix.

Make sure the patches are properly formatted for upstream submission, otherwise 
they won't be accepted as they are now.
On the link we shared you can find how to format patches for a correct upstream 
submission.
