@dtl131 thanks for the hints, I took a slightly different approach though. In the meantime, I downloaded the files that are mentioned as missing in the log, from the latest version on https://github.com/thesofproject/sof-bin/, and placed them under the right folders under /lib/firmware/intel.
Now I have sound. @guiverc I do not see how this is a support request. This package is lagging behind and not pulling in an update from its upstream, to make actual hardware that's out there, work. Others with the same hardware will encounter the same problem. "Bug reporting is about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug." - This is a problem - A fix is available (updating the package to latest upstream) - Others will hit the same problem, until it is fixed. At least now, they can find this bug entry, and do the same manual workaround as I did. I think this is just exactly where it belongs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2138769 Title: No sound on Intel Core Ultra 7 255H To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firmware-sof/+bug/2138769/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
