Public bug reported:

Recently, my laptop screen has been flickering frequently or going black
for short periods. I recently performed a restore because the laptop
kept crashing and freezing. I strongly suspect the issue is with the
video drivers.

The versions of the packages listed below are on my PC, but I've put updates on
hold.
libdrm-radeon1/now 2.4.122-1~ubuntu0.24.04.1 amd64
xserver-xorg-video-radeon/noble,now 1:22.0.0-1build1 amd64
libdrm-amdgpu1/now 2.4.122-1~ubuntu0.24.04.1 amd64
xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu/noble,now 23.0.0-1build1 amd64

Attached is a printout of the journal. At 6:16 PM, I had a flickering screen
again. There are also several Radeon messages.
As far as I know, installing newer versions of the drivers mentioned above will
only make the problem worse.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve the problem?
