There are many more bug reports like this, including https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/1249 which has a similar screenshot to yours :)
In each case, upstream seems to be blaming all of them on translations and assigning each bug report to a different language. On one hand, I understand the view that the configured format should be used. But it's not really a configured format listed under 'Dates & Times'. That's just an example of what ALL the data would look like if you asked for all of it. The gnome-shell panel doesn't want to display all those fields so I currently feel upstream's approach of blaming the translations actually makes sense. ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues #1249 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/1249 ** Tags added: l18n ** Summary changed: - Notification Applet date format is not match with "Region & Language"->"Formats" + Date in top panel doesn't follow standard Danish date formats YYYY-MM-DD or DD.MM.YY(YY) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2139662 Title: Date in top panel doesn't follow standard Danish date formats YYYY-MM- DD or DD.MM.YY(YY) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2139662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
