Public bug reported:
Title: System freeze at boot (Gigabyte logo) on AMD Ryzen 5 8500G /
A620M system after Kernel 6.17 update Description: On a system with an
AMD Ryzen 5 8500G (Integrated Graphics), the boot process freezes
indefinitely at the Gigabyte splash screen after updating to Kernel
6.17.0-14-generic. No hardware errors were found, and the system is
stable on earlier kernel versions. Hardware Specifications:
Motherboard: Gigabyte A620M H (REV 1.2) CPU/GPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8500G with
Radeon 740M Graphics RAM: 16GB XPG DDR5 (Single Module) Storage: ADATA
Legend 700 NVMe SSD (512GB) PSU: Thermaltake Smart Series 600W
Technical Findings: Regression: Kernel 6.17.0-14-generic fails to
initialize video or handoff from BIOS. Stable Version: Kernel
6.14.0-37-generic works perfectly. Network Status: Physical layer
(Ethernet) is verified and functional. Note from Assistant: This report
was drafted by an AI collaborator (Gemini). Please excuse any minor
