Public bug reported:

I am unable to mount NFS shares from TrueNAS on a mini PC (Firebat F1)
running Ubuntu 24.04.03 LTS. The same NFS configuration works correctly
on another PC (MS-7B24) with the same OS and network. CIFS mounts from
the same NAS work without any issue.

Steps to reproduce:
Create a local mount point:
mkdir -p /home/wasco1/NAS-FirebatF1

Attempt to mount NFS:
sudo mount -t nfs4 truenas.srv.homelan:/mnt/pool2/Backups/Linux/FirebatF1
/home/wasco1/NAS-FirebatF1

Result:
mount.nfs4: Operation not permitted for
truenas.srv.homelan:/mnt/pool2/Backups/Linux/FirebatF1 on
/home/wasco1/NAS-FirebatF1

Additional details:
Works on another Ubuntu 24.04.03 LTS machine with the same TrueNAS NFS export.
Does not work over either LAN (Realtek RTL8125) or WiFi on the Firebat F1.
nfs-common version is the same on both machines (1:2.6.4-3ubuntu5.1).
Firewall (ufw) is disabled for incoming connections; rpcbind is active.
Kernel modules loaded: nfsv3, nfsv4, nfs, lockd, sunrpc.
Mounting via CIFS on the same NAS works fine.
Attempting mount as root or regular user gives the same EPERM error.
strace shows failure with EPERM on /sbin/mount.nfs4.
Tested with simplified mount options and new dataset; problem persists.
Observed behavior: NFS mount fails immediately with Operation not permitted.
Expected behavior: NFS mount should succeed as it does on another machine with
identical OS, network, and NAS configuration.

Notes:
The issue is independent of network interface (LAN/WiFi).
Problem seems specific to Firebat F1 hardware or its interaction with Ubuntu
24.04 NFS client.

Request: Any guidance on why mount.nfs4 fails on this specific hardware
or known workarounds would be appreciated.
