Public bug reported:
Observation:
On the first provision of an Ubuntu system, and on the initial login (if
autologin was enabled):
Go to Setting -> System -> Remote Desktop, then enable "Desktop Sharing" and
"Remote Control".
The whole Setting window becomes unresponsive and after some time, when we try
to enable Desktop Sharing/Remote Control. Other apps such as terminal or
browser works okay at this time.
Enabling "Desktop Sharing" and "Remote Control" works sometimes but when you
try to view or change the password under Login Details, you observe the same
unresponsive behavior.
This has been observed on multiple systems and wasn't an issue in
FastOS 1.120.30.
Repro Steps:
Go to Setting -> System -> Remote Desktop
Enable "Desktop Sharing" and "Remote Control".
If enabled, try to view or change the password under Login Details
The Settings UI will become unresponsive and eventually show the Force Quit
pop-up
This appears to be due to the gnome keyring not yet existing on initial login,
as verified by checking `seahorse`, and by observing that
~/.local/share/gnome-remote-desktop/certificates/rdp-tls.crt and
~/.local/share/gnome-remote-desktop/certificates/rdp-tls.key do not exist until
after logging out and back in.
Rebooting or logging out and back in sidesteps this issue entirely - so
marking this as low priority.
