Summary of the issue:
After a recent full-upgrade, all GTK4/Libadwaita applications (Nautilus, GNOME
Control Center) lost their UI styling. The windows appear
transparent/borderless, and text elements are overlapping.
Steps to reproduce:
Use Ubuntu 26.04 with libadwaita-1-0 version 1.9~beta-0ubuntu1.
Launch any GTK4 application (e.g., nautilus or gnome-control-center)
from the terminal.
Observe the terminal output and the broken UI.
Terminal Output / Error Logs:
Applications report that the internal Adwaita CSS resource is missing:

Observed Behavior:
Applications are rendered without borders or backgrounds.
Text labels are overlapping due to incorrect box measurement (18px vs
26px).
gnome-control-center crashes with a core dump related to missing
GSettings schemas (xwayland-scaling-factor).
Expected Behavior:
Applications should load the Adwaita stylesheet correctly and respect minimum
width constraints for UI elements.
Temporary Workaround:
Running applications with GTK_THEME=Default restores the window borders, but
layout/spacing issues remain.
