Oh and btw (I had to refresh my memory about this, it has been a while)
I installed linux-crashdump in a VM allowing it to run on boot and then
doing the test via sysrq trigger. On the console one sees the
crashkernel booting and doing a dump. This is maybe invisible when
attaching the displays and getting the crash that way. At least you
should observe disk activity while it does this (maybe try removing the
"panic=30" to do the dump immediately).

For the dump files, check that timestamp directory in /var/crash
(202602131940). That is their location (dmesg.* + dump.*).
