Oh and btw (I had to refresh my memory about this, it has been a while) I installed linux-crashdump in a VM allowing it to run on boot and then doing the test via sysrq trigger. On the console one sees the crashkernel booting and doing a dump. This is maybe invisible when attaching the displays and getting the crash that way. At least you should observe disk activity while it does this (maybe try removing the "panic=30" to do the dump immediately).
For the dump files, check that timestamp directory in /var/crash (202602131940). That is their location (dmesg.* + dump.*). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2141225 Title: Kernel panic when connecting USB-C Dell monitors on Ubuntu kernel 6.17.0-14-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-6.17/+bug/2141225/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
