Thanks for responding to my bug report. I reassigned the package to GTK4. After more testing i've found out that the session might be freezing rather than it being a problem with CPU consumption. After measuring the performance with top nautilus was never using more than 4% of the CPU even when opening a context menu.
The freezing seems to be generalized, for example, if i put nautilus and chromium next to each other and open the context menu, if the browser is playing a video the video would freeze too. I opened nautilus on the terminal and no error appeared after opening a context menu. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2141970 Title: Massive lag when opening any context menu on GTK4 apps for the Raspberry Pi version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk4/+bug/2141970/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
