Public bug reported:
On Ubuntu 25.x with GNOME Shell running on Wayland, there is a
reproducible visual glitch when exiting the App Grid or Overview back to
the desktop with applications already open.
After closing the App Grid, the system briefly shows an empty desktop
(no windows visible) for a fraction of a second, and only then restores
the previously open application windows. This looks like a short
compositor redraw where window surfaces disappear and are then re-
rendered.
The issue is purely visual but noticeable and distracting.
