Thanks for the bug report. That doesn't look like the Ubuntu experience
or vanilla GNOME, so please start by deleting all local extensions:
cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
rm -rf extensions
and then log in again. This is the first thing we need to try because
extensions cause so many bugs and most extensions are unsupported here.
