The installer for desktop Ubuntu isn't working for me and that command isn't 
usable for me from a terminal. It issues errors about missing commands and then 
asks me to follow a link that is insane to re-type without a working touchpad. 
And then it issues a ton more errors when I don't.

Oddly enough, the server installer manages to configure my ethernet when
it is plugged in during installation. Otherwise I get "no carrier"
errors when I try to configure my ethernet. So I could set up the
desktop if you really need me to??
