I am also having issues requiring a hard reset of this laptop while dual booting Windows 11. Sometimes Ubuntu stops booting and sometimes the networking stops working in Windows. Also at one point, when I foolishly tried Valve's Steam installer it switched off the power to my internal speaker's amplifier. That required a hard reset too. Reinstalling Ubuntu did not turn the amp back on.
It turns out to be hard to do a hard reset of an MSI Stealth A16 AI+. You have to unplug it, hold down the power for a whole minute until the power indicator light blinks, and then release the power and wait another 20 seconds. At that time the device will be truly off and will not respond to the power button until it is plugged in again. Just in case anyone else is working on this. Lots of fun. I really really love this laptop but it is more bleeding edge than cutting edge. Don't worry, the Windows drivers are still being written too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2142046 Title: MSI Stealth A16 AI+ A3XVFG-075CA wireless networking firmware not loading To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/2142046/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
