It sounds like you mean "dock" when you say "bar"?
Please attach a screenshot or photo of the problem. Please also run:
dconf dump /org/gnome/ > gnome-settings.txt
and attach the resulting text file here.

Title:
Sometimes the bar does not minimize when I enter full screen. A
temporary fix is if I do alt+f2 and write r, but it keeps coming back.
